Food Pantry / Grocery Assistance Program
The Servant Center offers a Grocery Assistance Program (GAP) to help for members of our community who are having difficulty affording food. GAP offers two alternatives for clients to receive assistance:
-
Food Pantry – clients with transportation come on-site to pick up groceries.
- Delivery Program – volunteer drivers deliver a bag of groceries to shut-in clients once a month.
GAP serves over one hundred families a week who are:
low-income elderly and/or disabled
or
in a short-term emergency situation
Groceries bags are filled by volunteers with food donated from the community.
There is no charge for either the Food Pantry or the Delivery
Program. To participate in the program, a client must have a referral from a social service agency, church, school or government agency.
Referrals can be made by completing the referral application and submitting it directly to the Food Pantry or you can print the form then fax it at
(336) 370-1540.
REFERRING AGENCIES: To verify if your client qualifies for our programs please review the Food Pantry Income Eligibility Guideline below. Complete and submit the Online Food Pantry Referral Application to begin the process.
